Dear Irina,

Once again we want to thank you for your organisation of our stay in St. Petersburg. This time we saw more about the daily life mixed with some touristical highlights. As we had once again a week of best summer temperatures - nearly a little too hot for visisting a city - now we have realy problems to imagine bad weather in Pieter. The trip to Petergof and back by ship was great. We got a feeling about the topografical situation of the city near the sea and the plain landscapes with a huge and wide sky with a beautiful northern and clear light. On a hot summerday we enjoyed the park of Petergof and all the refreshing watergames. We also preferred other parks like Elagin Island, the Summer garden, the Jussupov garden and the fortress of Peter and Paul nearby the Neva. We discovered street ensembles like Generalnaja ul. or Puschkinskaja - and in the long twilight you can imagine stories of the Russian literature. As the development of all the european cities in the last 15 years ends in an agglomeration of always the same shops and supermarkets, they mostly loose their characteristical feature. Pieter is different. You find the shops as well on Newsky, but there are many streets and places without the crying commercial signs. In spite of renovation and change of many buidlings, we always found just round the corner of great places the little souterrain shops for food and normal, nice restaurants. We know about the big business of real estates and see the change, but we hope there will be some caraceristical left further. We hope there will be a chance for a further journey to Pieter, also for the surroundings and other cities. We would like to continue. With the best wishes for you and your family

Dear Irina,

Sorry about not contacting you at St. Petersburg, but we were so busy walking and visiting interesting points there from morning until late in the night. Now we are back and I have little time. Our program was huge: Botanical garden, 2 days in the Eremitage, Smolny, Puschkin-Katharinenpalast, Newski Monastery, Isaak's Cathedral, Sennaya market, Kuznechny market, and so many buildings in the inner circle of the historic heart.... Thank you for all organisations, all was fine and in time. The place for staying was brilliant as we could reach many locations per feet. We enjoyed the city in much facettes and it was great. Although we were walking hours and hours we have seen only little, but we got an impression. The light and the hourlong dawn was fantastic, so we everyday came back to the apartmant not before 12.00. We were lucky to walk some days in the middle of Newsky Prospect, as the traffic was cut for renovation the surface. Now we have to work again and can only dream about the next journey to St. Petersburg. Thank you again for your good advices.

You and Arseni were extremely helpful and the amount of apartments you were able to show us was fantastic. Originally we were going to work with another agency and everytime we emailed they took a long time to email back. Every time we asked for an apartment in our price range they would send us pictures of apartments excessively above the price we wanted. That's when I finally decided to call you at the last minute before I left (literally) and from the very minute I called you were available, ready to answer, responded quickly, and when I arrived here we hit the floor running, it was amazing. Can't find enough words to express how grateful we are for all your help. Truly, experience we had when booking apartment with you was just too good to be true and we expected something would go wrong. But everything exceeded all our expectation: the driver, who met us at the airport, very nice and cooperative landlady, registration procedure and definitely apartment itself were much more then we expected. Location was very convenient right in the center of historical part what gave us possibility to walk to all major attractions (including Hermitage and Russian museum) and watch the raising of the drawbridges. We spent wonderful time in St. Petersburg and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thank you again.

Now I'm back in England I'm just writing to say thankyou for all your help while I was staying in ST Petersburg. I meant to write before I went home but my phone credit ran out and I couldn't top it up in St Petersburg. I only got home yesterday as I was in Prague from Thursday - Monday due to the volcano. I can highly recommend my agent, Irina. While I was in St. Petersburg, Irina offered service well beyond the "call of duty." She arranged a very nice flat for my out-of-town visitor (upon 10-hour notice!); drove me to the train station at 06.00; waited through a 1.5 hour delay of arrival; and then greeted and delivered my guest to her flat with style and courtesy.
